Stuck
In A Moment

We’ve all had times in our lives when we’ve had no motivation to try anything new. Life just gets so busy and frantic that we tend to stick with the same old routine, day-in and day-out.

For as long as I can remember, I have always put the focus on my eyes with deep smoky shadows, smudged liner, and a jet black mascara. I would pair it with lighter shades on my lips, so I wouldn’t have to bother too much if they didn’t look perfect or wore off too quickly.

Recently, I’ve decided to play a little game with myself.  On the days I drive to work, the first song I hear on the 80’s or 90’s channel is going to be the focus color I’m going to wear for the day. (Did you know our shades are named after 80’s and 90’s songs)? The other morning, the song ‘Linger’ from The Cranberries came on the radio. As soon as I arrived at the office, I applied the soft, luminous blush named after this song, to my cheeks. The warm, golden-berry tone added a healthy flushed glow to my skin, without looking like makeup. Linger isn't a color I usually wear, but Elena instantly commented on how alive my complexion looked. So I'm in.

Sometimes it's the little things that make the biggest difference, so change it up. You’ll never know until you try.
