Elena's
April Picks

There are days when I just love to escape from my day-to-day life and pour through my collection of art books. I’m always inspired by artists like Basquiat, Diebenkorn, Dove, Mitchell, Krasner, and Morandi. If you look at some of their work, you just might see some inspiration in the designs of Flyte.70.

I will admit that my brows are victims of the 90s over-plucked trend. Around forty it became apparent just how sparse they had become. RevitaBrow Advanced, while a bit pricey, has given my arches some serious support. With an innovative blend of peptides, active botanicals, and beneficial vitamins, RevitaBrow’s growth-claims are no joke. With regular use, I’ve managed to get my old brows back.

For over thirty years I’ve worn the same essential oil every single day, which I still absolutely love.  Occasionally I’ll splurge on a new fragrance to try and get out of my comfort zone, but the thrill never lasts. It was only when I came across Super Amber by Ellis Brooklyn that a close second favorite finally appeared. This is the only other fragrance that I’ve ever owned that I’ve used past the halfway point of the bottle. My daughter is also partially to blame. Apparently, we both love a good amber.

Perhaps my favorite product that we created for Flyte.70 is GlowBack.Lucent Light. I’ve never been a fan of highlighters and have tried them all. We worked diligently to develop a formula that would work with changing skin. The finish is so luxurious, it’s as though the brilliance is radiating out from within the skin. I’m proud to say I have just hit the bottom of the pan. Another first!

And finally, there is my endless, anxious snacking which started when Covid first hit in 2020. These amazing and delicious jumbo-sized semi-sweet chocolate chips by San Francisco-based company, Guittard are like nothing I’ve tried before. Boasting a peanut-free, tree nut-free and gluten-free facility, this fair-trade company has set the bar for baking chips. Sadly, I’ve yet to use them in a recipe as they’re best right out of the bag. One of my nephews is also currently obsessed.
